Aromatherapy


  The aromatherapy was only recognized as treatment in 1960, but, since the twenties, it already deserved studies. Drops of essential oils, obtained of vegetables, are always diluted, and can energize or calm. You smell and, in less than one second, some thing happens in your heart... it is that the aromas of the essential oils influence the center of their emotions, in the brain.
Captured by the sense of smell, they work generating waves of calm or energy.
The essential oils, obtained starting from plants, except for rare exceptions, should be used diluted always, therefore they are extremely strong. And with a lot of prudence for serious patients, people with very sensitive skin and pregnant women. However, contraindications are rare and use is quite pleasant. It is necessary to conserve them far away from the heat and to the shelter of the light, a wood box or of thick cardboard. Maintain them far away from the children. Durability varies, the citric oils, for instance, should be used in six months. "Besides the effects on the skin, they also act for the sense of smell. The essential oils, 100% natural and concentrated, extracted of vegetables, make the harmony of the body and spirit."


CARES

  Never use them in pure form. For not irritating the skin, they should be mixed always to an oily base, as the oil of almonds, for instance.
In the first three months of pregnancy, the pregnant women should avoid these oil types: chamomile, jasmine, cedar, basil, rosemary and mint.
In case of doubt, consult the doctor or to indicate an aromatherapist.
If you will use an essential oil for the first time, test it to certify that it won't provoke allergic reaction: mix a drop of him to a spoon (coffee) of oil of almonds and scrub in the fold of the elbow. If the skin reddens in 24 hours, you are sensitive to the product. Not to use them when if it exposes in the sun.


HOUR OF THE MASSAGE

  For massages the oils should be mixed with other, of base; pure, they are very strong for the skin. The one of almonds is considered the softest and he/she has smaller possibility to irritate the epidermis. Among the oils, the one of rose is the sought. A receipt: Ingredients: 50g of oil of almonds 1/2 to pick (coffee) of oil of germ of wheat 15 drops of essential oil of rose 5 drops of essential oil of coriander 2 drops of cedar oil. Preparation: Everything puts in a small glass, cover, agitate and use in massages in the body. The obtained portion gives for three body massages or six of shoulders and neck. Keep to the shelter of the light and of the heat.

FRAGRANCE IN THE AIR

  Besides the therapeutic and cosmetic use, the essential oils can be used as perfume. Join some drops of chosen oil in the melted wax of a lit candle. Or use a heater of essences, usually of ceramic, where some mixed oil drops to a spoon (soup) of water they stay in a container on the fire of a candle. They also exist own circles for they be put on lamps, where water and oil stay heated up. You can maintain an atmosphere nicely perfumed and, at the same time, to benefit of the effects of the aroma.
